Congratulations!  You have decided to stay in one of the finest vacation properties on the Oregon coast!  Congratulations!  No other properties offer the same level of luxurious furnishings and amenities.  Once you're there you may never want to leave!  Our guests say, "Every visit is a honeymoon!"
To make your reservation, follow the simple and quick steps. If you experience any difficulties in making your on-line reservation, please call us toll-free at 1-866-800-0338 for assistance.

Please read "The Whale's Tale" (below) before making your reservation.  It contains important information regarding your stay with us, and answers to frequently asked questions about our properties.
Select Your Vacation Rental and Make Your Reservation
Use our easy and secure on-line reservation system to reserve the property you want for the dates you desire.  The step-by-step instructions are easy to follow, but if you experience problems call us toll-free 1-866-800-0338.
Rate Calculation
When you enter the Arrival and Departure dates for the property you select, the rate for your rental will be automatically calculated for you before you complete your reservation.
Rental Agreement
After making your reservation, you will receive the Rental Agreement via email. Please check it for accuracy, print it out, complete it, sign it, and fax it to 1-866-381-8563. Prompt return of the Rental Agreement is required to complete your reservation arrangements. Please note: Skyshine LLC requires valid credit card information be provided and reserves the right to charge your credit card account for damage, theft, or any special cleaning required. Credit card information must be provided to Skyshine LLC via telephone or on the rental agreement before you will be sent the keybox code for entry to your vacation rental.
Final Payment
When partial payment is made with your reservation, final payment is due no less than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. Skyshine LLC will automatically bill your remaining balance to the same credit card used for your intial deposit unless other arrangements have been made.
Keybox Code and Driving Instructions
Assuming payment in full and the signed rental agreement have been received by Skyshine LLC, the keybox code and driving instructions will be sent to you via email within a week to ten days before your scheduled arrival. Keybox codes are changed often to enhance your security, so they are sent to coincide with your arrival. There is no "check-in." You simply enter the code, access the key, and enter your vacation getaway.

You're on "Coastal Time" now, a whole different way of life--fun, romance, excitement...relaxation and rejuvenation--all set to the soothing rhythms of the majestic Pacific Ocean. We have done everything we can think of to enhance your stay, but if you encounter any problem with your unit, please call us toll free at 1-866-800-0338, and we will attempt to resolve it immediately. We know your visit to the coast will be special. We hope you'll share it with us by telling us about your stay in our guest books and scrapbooks. A Guide to Your Vacation Getaway
Thank you for renting through Skyshine LLC dba Depoe Bay Vacation Rentals ("DBVR"). You have chosen one of the finest oceanfront vacation rental properties on the coast. So that all our guests may have "A Whale of a Good Time" in these luxury accommodations, the following guide to your vacation getaway (The Whale's Tale) has been established.
Please review our getaway guide, which should answer any questions you may have about renting with us.

Reservations and Payments
Reservations may be made on-line by clicking on the "Reservations" tab or on the words "Book This Property" or "Book A Property" and following the easy step-by-step instructions on our secure Reservations site, or by telephone by calling us toll free 1-866-800-0338.
Our secure Reservations site accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express.  Other payment options, including personal checks, company checks, money orders, cashiers checks, and Skyshine LLC gift certificates must be arranged via telephone.
Reservations made more than 30 days prior to arrival require payment of approximately Fifty Percent (50%) of Total Rental Cost at time of reservation with the balance due no later than 30 days before arrival.
Skyshine LLC will process the balance due 30 days before your arrival date, using the same credit card used for the initial payment.  To make other arrangements, contact Skyshine LLC at 866-800-0338 prior to 30 days before your arrival date.
Please note: If payment in full is not received thirty (30) days prior to arrival, the reservation will be canceled unless alternate arrangements have been made in advance. No further follow-up will be made by Skyshine LLC. The reservation will not be rescheduled.
Reservations made 30 days and less prior to arrival require payment-in-full of the Total Rental Cost at the time of the reservation.
Skyshine LLC will email the Rental Agreement to you upon receipt of your reservation and payment. You are asked to print the Rental Agreement, complete and sign it, and return it to Skyshine LLC.  
Total Rental Cost
The Total Rental Cost of a rental includes:
•     Nightly Rate (See Rate Page);

•     Applicable City, County, or State Lodging Taxes, and Accommodation (Booking) Fee;

•     Cleaning Fee: See Individual Property Page for Cleaning Fee. For reservations of       one week (seven nights), or more, the Cleaning Fee will be waived;
All taxes, rates and fees are subject to change.
Security
A valid major credit card is required for security purposes (although alternate payment methods for actual rental charges are acceptable with prior arrangement).  Skyshine LLC reserves the right to charge your credit card account for damage, theft and for any special cleaning required. Credit card information must be supplied to Skyshine LLC via phone or on the Rental Agreement before you will be sent the keybox code for entry to your vacation rental.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be received no less than thirty (30) days prior to your reserved date. Skyshine LLC does not refund any monies and will attempt to re-book you, with credit for payments made, for up to one year after your original arrival date.
Rates vary by season and are subject to change. All units may not be at the same rate. If the rate for the unit is different than the rate at which you originally booked, there may be additional charges to you. If the Total Rental Cost for your re-booked stay is less, Skyshine LLC will not refund any differences.
Check-in and Check-out
If payment-in-full and the signed Rental Agreement have been received by Skyshine LLC, the current keybox code and instructions for entry to the unit will be sent to you via email seven (7) days before your scheduled arrival. You will not need to "check in" or "check out" with anyone. (To increase security, keybox codes are changed frequently.)
Check-in is at 4:00 p.m.; check-out is at 11:00 a.m. For maintenance and cleaning schedules, it is imperative that these hours be followed. If you depart later than 11:00 a.m., you may be charged for an additional one-half day, or more, depending on the time you depart. If you need to depart later than 11:00 a.m., please contact Skyshine LLC in advance regarding arrangements.
Upon entering your vacation rental, please take a quick look around and if anything is amiss, please call Skyshine LLC immediately via our toll-free number to report it.
Housekeeping Service
Daily housekeeping is not included in your reservation, but may be arranged for an additional charge. Please make arrangements with Skyshine LLC in advance. To preserve the quality of the furnishings and to enhance your enjoyment of the property, Skyshine LLC may choose to provide additional cleaning for guests staying longer than one week (seven nights). Such arrangements will be made at the time you make your reservation.
Unlike most vacation rentals, Skyshine LLC's housecleaning is "walk-away" cleaning.  Whereas most vacation rentals ask you to virtually prepare the property for the next renter, Skyshine LLC asks only a couple of minor things --see below.  Otherwise all we ask is that you pack up your stuff, don't take our stuff, enjoy yourself up to the last minute, and go away planning your next visit.  We'll take care of everything else.  You just "walk away."
Courtesy
Please remember that you have neighbors, many of whom are permanent residents. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. Occupancy and use of premises shall not be such as to disturb or offend neighbors or residents. Skyshine LLC and/or its agents have the right to terminate this Agreement and to ask disruptive guests to vacate the premises without refunding rent.
Minors (under 16 years of age) must be chaperoned and accompanied by an adult at all times.
Smoking is not allowed inside our vacation rentals or on their decks. Because many of our guests have severe allergic reactions to residual smoke, and to preserve the furnishings in the units, there are no exceptions. Smoking is permitted outside, on the street side, if ashes and cigarettes are disposed of properly and safely and smoke does not bother guests or owners in surrounding properties. There will be a minimum cleaning charge of $200 and forfeiture of the unit without refund of rent if this rule is violated. If additional cleaning charges apply, they will be charged to the guest.

Pets are not allowed in our vacation rentals. Because many of our guests have severe allergic reactions to pets, pet hair, etc., and to preserve the furnishings in the units, there are no exceptions. This includes any pets of your guests. There will be a minimum cleaning charge of $200 and forfeiture of the unit without refund of rent if this rule is violated. If additional cleaning charges apply, they will be charged to the guest.

Please remove your shoes upon entry to your vacation rental. Then you can "put your feet up and stay awhile."  In any of our very special properties, you'll enjoy cozying up on the comfortable furniture.
Hot Tubs
Many of our units are furnished with a hot tub.  Please do not attempt to re-set the hot tub settings, other than temperature and turning the jets on and off.  Please notify Skyshine LLC immediately if your hot tub is not functioning properly.
For the health, safety, and peace-of-mind of our guests, each hot tub is cleaned and serviced by an independent cleaning service after each check-out. Please be respectful of neighbors when using the hot tub, and keep a careful eye on children.  Please promptly report any "accidents" so that additional appropriate actions may be taken before the next guests arrive.
Special towels are provided for use with the hot tub or for swimming. Please use them instead of the regular towels. Please do not sit on the inside furniture while wet, as it will stain.
Hot tubs in ground floor properties have a lock.  The key will be found with the extra unit key, usually on a counter.  For your safety and security, please re-lock the hot tub when you are not using it.
Please replace the hot tub cover when not using the hot tub.
Televisions and Remotes
The owners of our vacation properties have furnished each with a variety of televisions, DVD players, VCRs, and remotes. Please do not attempt to re-program any of the remotes. If you have any problems with the TVs, DVDs, VCRs, or remotes, please notify Skyshine LLC.
In some properties, Digital cable is provided and includes free movies on the STARZ and or Showtime channels, and a variety of music channels.
Some owners have provided a selection of DVD's, videos, and CD's for your enjoyment. Please exercise care when packing to leave that they don't become mixed with your own. Guests will be charged for missing DVD's, videos, and CD's.
TV and Remote Instructions are printed for your convenience. By following them you will be able to make use of all the electronic entertainment devices we have provided.
We repeat: Please do not attempt to re-program the remotes!
Please be sure all remotes are in their proper rooms when you leave. Guests will be charged the full cost of replacing and programming lost remotes.
Internet Access
Some owners have provided unlimited broadband, high-speed internet access in each of our units. Each unit has a wireless router, as well as cable connections.  Some units may provide a computer. 
Please do not attempt to reset any settings on the modem or router.  Please do not make changes in the computer's settings.
Furnishings, Telephone, and Amenities
Our vacation rentals are carefully furnished with appropriate linens, towels, dishes, flatware and cooking utensils to enhance your enjoyment. Please do not remove any items from the vacation rental or take any furnishings outside or to neighboring properties. Guests are asked to notify Skyshine LLC immediately if furnishings seem to be missing, or if they encounter problems in the operation of any item in the property.
An initial starter supply of soap, paper products, shampoo, lotion, dish soap, and laundry detergent is provided.
Our vacation rentals are equipped with telephones for local calls. The phone number for your unit will be sent to you along with the keybox code. You can receive incoming calls except Collect ones, and make outgoing local calls. You will not be able to make outgoing long-distance calls except Collect or with a charge card.
Two keys are provided per vacation rental: a tagged key and lockbox key. Both keys must remain with the home when you depart. The full cost of lock replacement will be required if keys are missing.  Units with a ground level hot tub will also have a key to the hot tub lock.
Occupancy Limits
Each of our luxury vacation properties has a maximum occupancy limit. See each property's page for information on that property's limit.
The Mate's Quarters (maximum capacity two (2) persons) is an overflow unit at The Village at North Pointe that may be reserved should additional space be required. Please inquire as to its current rate and availability.
Guests exceeding occupancy limits may be subject to immediate eviction without refund.
For Guests at The Village at North Pointe
The rules of The Village at North Point require that quiet time be respected from 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.
The rules of The Village at North Pointe prohibit smoking in the units or on the decks.
The rules of The Village at North Pointe prohibit feeding birds or animals.  (Yes they're fun, but they do make an awful mess!)
The Beach Club, the clubhouse for The Village at North Pointe (swimming pool, hot tub, exercise room, pool table, darts, game room, gathering room, 19-seat surround sound theater with big screen TV, and kitchen), is available for guests to use from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
There is no lifeguard at the pool in The Beach Club.
Please keep in mind that The Beach Club is also used by other guests and by permanent residents of The Village. All users are requested to show respect for others and the facilities.
Rules of The Village at North Pointe require that persons under 18 years of age be accompanied by a parent or guardian when in The Beach Club after 8:00 p.m.
Children under 16 years of age are to be supervised at all times in this facility.
Please do not allow diapers or towels to enter the plumbing of the pool, hot tub or rest rooms. (They burn out the pumps.)
Guests exhibiting unacceptable behavior may be asked to leave. The Beach Club is monitored via closed circuit TV.
Heating. The heat in our units is in-the-floor hot water, radiant heat, the best heat available. The units are very heat efficient. You probably won't need to turn up the heat. Please keep in mind that the huge western exposure and the floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows mean the heat source we don't control--the sun--does warm the unit, too. If it gets too warm, you can usually get a very nice breeze and quickly cool the unit by opening the windows on both the east and west sides of the unit.
Plumbing. Rules of The Village at North Pointe prohibit putting cloth items (such as towels, diapers, etc.) down drains or flushing them in toilets. Please be careful and watch children regarding this.  The Village is on a sensitive sewer system. 
Luggage Carts at The Village at North Pointe are normally found in the stairwells next to the elevators at either end of the building. Please return them as soon as you are finished with them. Luggage carts are not to be brought inside your vacation rental.
Guest Book and Photo Album
A guest book is provided in each unit. Please add your impressions, experiences while being our guests, your reflections on your visit, how you liked the property, how many whales you saw--tell us what a great time you had! We love to read the comments,and we do read every one! We also have an on-line guest book and would love for you to add your entry to it. Hard-copy guest book entries may be reproduced in part or in whole on our on-line guest book. We also invite you to email us special photos from your visit for inclusion in our on-line photo album. Some suggestions include: whales, other wildlife, waves, spectacular sunsets, special dinners, any activities--swimming, playing pool, etc., group pictures, hot tubbing pictures...you get the idea! We especially invite photos of those very special occasions, such as honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, reunions, etc. And, if you'd like, you can also send a wedding photo with the honeymoon or anniversary photos. It's really a family affair.
For Your Convenience, We Have Provided This Check List For the End of Your Visit. Please:
•     Load and start the dishwasher;
•     Remove garbage to the outside garbage cans;
•     Turn off all heaters and/or gas fireplace;
•     Lock all windows (be sure they close completely) and all exit doors;
•     Check for all personal belongings (in closets, dressers, cabinets, under beds, etc.);
•     Turn off all electronics-TV's, stereos, lights, etc. (please replace all remotes);
•     Replace the key box key in the key box and leave extra key (and hot tub key, if any)
      on the counter;
•     Immediately start planning your next visit to us!
We ask our guests to comply with the getaway guide outlined above. Should you fail to adhere to these rules, you may be asked to leave without refund.
Guest Satisfaction and Suggestions

The management and staff of Skyshine LLC are committed to your satisfaction as our guests, and we have worked hard to ensure that your visit is enjoyable. But, nobody's perfect. Mistakes happen, and appliances don't always function perfectly. If we have fallen short, if you've had any problem with your accommodations, please let us know immediately via email at Vacation@SkyShineVacations.com or toll-free at 1-866-800-0338, and we will try to correct the situation.

We also welcome your email suggestions for improving the accommodations or our service. Our goal is to be the first place you want to come to, and the last you want to leave. We appreciate your ideas for making our properties even more attractive.
