Welcome to Whale Crossing Pamper yourself in Absolute Oceanfront luxury

Luxury, elegance, comfort and romance have a new address on the Oregon coast-and its name is Whale Crossing! This "Absolute Oceanfront" condo offering by Skyshine LLC is what vacationing on the central Oregon coast is all about. It's a whopping 1800 square feet of elegant furnishings, scintillating fabrics, and evocative colors, blended by Brent Stephenson, Senior Designer at Wildflower Design Interiors, one of the Pacific coast's finest interior designers, to completely captivate and charm while showcasing, in panoramic style, the stunning vistas of the rugged Depoe Bay area central Oregon coast.
Just imagine, from anywhere in the family-sized living, kitchen and dining areas, or from the warm and romantic master bedroom suite, you can watch waves, whales, seals, and all that the Pacific oceanfront offers. The spacious ocean-side deck is the perfect place to sit and visit, to whale watch, or just stare in awe at some of the most wondrous sunsets mankind has ever seen. With a five-person hot tub on your private deck you can do it all in the soothing, rejuvenating waters of your Marquis Mirage spa.
Even the superb pictures above cannot fully capture the comfort, romance-and the pure sweet fun-of this very special vacation rental. But take the tour anyway, you'll get the idea!
Living Area
The living area of your oceanfront rental has room to spare, and comfort and elegance to match. From the minute you walk in the front door, you'll feel the magic, a whole new level of vacation rental excellence. We urge you to take your shoes off and really relax (and enjoy the under-the-floor hot water heating when it's cool outside). Whale Crossing is tasteful and elegant, in a tone-on-tone décor, but it won't put you to sleep! From the zebra rug on the living room floor to the 42-inch plasma TV mounted on the bright red wall-that's right, a red wall!-you'll be re-energized by the comfort and beauty of the furnishings. Pampering amenities such as the chaise lounge in the sectional, the beautiful river rock gas fireplace, the DVD/VCR, wet bar, and carefully selected, beautiful artworks, will have you feeling like a movie star of a more elegant age.
Of course, no expense has been spared to provide all the modern amenities that today's living demands: plug-ins for your computer games, high-speed broadband internet access, digital cable offerings that include "The Starz" movie package and nearly 40 music channels, a CD player, and more. Bring or rent your own DVDs/videos, or watch some from our house collection. No other vacation rental on the Oregon coast caters so completely to your entertainment and total enjoyment..
Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen and dining areas of Whale Crossing raise the bar for all other luxury vacation rentals. This luxury condo is so well furnished you need bring only your own food and drink. The kitchen is large, and fun to cook in, with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. A full complement of cooking utensils, pots and pans, countertop appliances will bring out the master chef in you, and beautiful tableware will enhance all your mealtime experiences.
Whether for a cozy getaway for two, or a big get-together for eight, Whale Crossing's dining area will make every mealtime special. This is the place for long leisurely mealtimes with family and friends, as you relax and grow closer, away from the hurry-up, fast food world back home. Whale Crossing's dining area will make this a pleasure, with the sounds and sights of the ocean the perfect accompaniment for every meal.
Three Bedrooms
Whale Crossing will accommodate eight for restful seaside slumber.
The sectional in the living area hides a Queen-sized sofa sleeper, but it's so comfortable, you'd never guess it contains a sofa sleeper.
Our third bedroom is like a quiet island paradise, and boasts a Queen bed and furnishings chosen to be restful and enjoyable, including a ceiling fan. It's the smallest of the three bedrooms, but beautifully decorated for your comfort and enjoyment.
The second bedroom offers a supremely comfortable King bed, and a pass-through door to the second (full) bathroom. The décor hearkens back to a more leisurely time, in the manner of a French garden retreat. It's bright and cheery with a bay window.
You'll feel like royalty in the expansive ocean-side master bedroom suite, with floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows looking right out over the ocean. You can lie in bed and watch the waves or the stars. From the spacious and comfortable King bed, under the chandelier/ceiling fan, you can watch the play of the early morning light across the ocean as the sun rises, or, in the late evenings, bask in the most romantic of Pacific sunsets. The sitting area in front of a granite-faced fireplace makes a cozy getaway to read, or enjoy your morning coffee. Winter nights with storms raging, waves crashing, and the fire in the fireplace (so cozy)-or-summer nights with the warm breezes wafting through, with the ceiling fan turning and the susurrus of the summer waves breaking softly (and sometimes not so softly) outside your windows-How to choose? Oh well, come at both times!
The master bath is spacious and beautifully furnished, with a Jacuzzi tub for two, two sinks (what a blessing!), and a shower.
The walk-in closet is huge, and will easily hold your traveling wardrobe.
From the master bedroom suite, you can step directly onto your spacious private oceanfront deck. And about that deck..
The Deck
The private, oceanfront deck at Whale Crossing is huge, with a five-person Marquis Mirage hot tub, and still room for deck chairs galore. Because this single-level condo is on the ground floor, the deck offers direct access to the grounds of the Village at North Pointe. You can walk directly from the deck to the ocean's edge in just a few steps.
Guests at Whale Crossing find themselves irresistibly drawn to the deck, and why not? As the day begins, the soft light grows and the air feels, smells, and tastes so good. Sitting on the deck or in the hot tub you can savor the early morning hours as never before. Breakfasts on the deck are an unforgettable part of your visit to the Oregon coast.
As the sun moves west and the day warms, the deck is the perfect place for long, lazy conversations between lovers, families, and friends. And all the while, the ocean continues to perform for your pleasure. Just watching the play of the breaking waves is fascinating, but the Pacific Ocean at Depoe Bay has much more to offer. Depoe Bay is the home of a pod of grey whales, which are here 11 months of the year; that's why Depoe Bay is called "The Whale Watching Capital." So whale watching is a prime activity at Whale Crossing, and whale sightings are often an everyday occurrence. We once saw 25 whales in one weekend. Because Whale Crossing is "Absolute Oceanfront" (the ocean's edge is just a few feet from your deck), you may have a closer view of the whales than the folks in the whale watching charter boats! In the afternoons, on even the coolest winter days, the sun often warms the deck enough to make it a sunbathers haven. Take a book, a snack, and a beverage, and watch the time fly away.
But the best part of the day may be the evenings. The sun starts its descent into the western horizon, and paints the sky with colors no painter's palate could match. It's a time of wonder and beauty, made even more special by the waves crashing, the whales spouting, pelicans skimming the waves in close-ordered formations, and other seabirds hurrying to finish their daily activities. Open up the hot tub, and enjoy all the evening spectacular as you experience the ultimate in relaxation in the jets of soothing water. As the sky darkens, the stars come out to play, presenting a night sky that is truly breathtaking. It's no wonder that some of our guests never watch the TV. How could any TV program hope to match this natural entertainment?
