Welcome to Gull Rock House A beautiful Absolute Oceanfront getaway with spectacular ocean views and wonderful amenities.

Imagine.A vacation getaway on the edge of the ocean - Private, spacious, modern and comfortable, with spectacular ocean views and nestled up to one of the most attractive natural scenic areas in the country. Now, add to that just a short stroll to wine tasting, a popular seafood restaurant, and to wide open vistas of the ocean, surfers, and one of the coast's most intriguing natural formations.

If you can imagine all of this, you're beginning to get the picture of Gull Rock House.

This custom built home is sited on the edge of the ocean with a breathtaking view of a natural rock formation called (what else?) Gull Rock. From your private deck you can watch the waves breaking against Gull Rock, as well as the whales, sea lions, seals, and otter that frequent the ocean around this massive formation. You can also see this view from the living areas of Gull Rock House and two of the three bedrooms.

Next door to Gull Rock House is a Marine Garden, with a paved trail leading to the beach, where you will be awestruck by the natural rock formations the ocean has carved over the centuries.

Gull Rock House was designed and is furnished to complement the natural scenic beauty of this fabulous area. The deck and back yard are very private, giving you the feeling that you are in a park.

With three bedrooms and a loft, and three bathrooms, Gull Rock House will sleep 9 in splendid comfort. Of course, you'll have to quit looking at the view to get any sleep.
From the moment you arrive at Gull Rock House you'll be mesmerized by the beauty of the setting and view. It sits apart, with a Marine Garden on one side to provide privacy, and the lot is extra large, giving you elbow room, room to spread out and relax. Of course, you may not notice that as much as you do the view. You'll have a first class view of Gull Rock and the ocean from Gull Rock House.

As you enter Gull Rock House you'll appreciate the masterful use of stone, tile and wood to create a beautiful, natural, and modern décor.
Living Area
The living area of Gull Rock House is a wonderful example of the use of natural materials. The terrazzo tile floor lends a warmth that the river-rock fireplace and the use of wood in the ceilings and bookcases enhances. Throughout, the masterful tile work is outstanding. The leather couch and chairs are comfortable and beautiful. But, the most popular seat in the house may be the window bench that allows the most spectacular view of Gull Rock, but still feels all the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace (presto logs only, please). This is a room that celebrates the oceanfront setting of Gull Rock House in every facet.
Kitchen and Dining Room
Thanks to the open floor plan of Gull Rock House, the dining area and kitchen are not "chopped up" little segments, but rather flow together with the living room to create a fabulous space for conversation and conviviality. The dining table (which is expandable) shares the view of Gull Rock. The dinnerware has been chosen by the owners of Gull Rock House to add to the spirit of gracious living you find throughout this beautiful property. The kitchen is designed to be not only convenient, but to make it a conversational center, with the counter sure to be a favorite sitting place as you prepare meals. The kitchen is fully furnished; you need to bring only your food and drink. Speaking of drink, you'll appreciate the craftsmanship of the tile-work on the wet bar that adjoins the living room and dining room. The new electric flat top range will be a joy to use, and you'll also appreciate all the other appliances provided by the owners.
The Loft
Climb the stairs (well, maybe you'll call it a ladder) and you'll be in the loft, which boasts a bird's eye view of the living area of Gull Rock House. It also features a futon which sleeps two on a mattress chosen for its comfort. (We don't recommend allowing children in the loft-it's just too high, and there are too many temptations for them.)
Exciting Views
Wherever you look from Gull Rock House, you'll feel like you're in a private park. From most windows you won't even see any neighbors, and those that are there are far away.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Gull Rock House sleeps 9 in "Absolute Oceanfront" comfort in three bedrooms and the loft.

The master bedroom suite is on the main floor, with a king bed, and a private deck that overlooks the yard, and the ocean. Once again, Gull Rock is the focal point as you enjoy breakfast on the master bedroom deck or take in the sunset and stars on the long romantic nights. The vaulted ceiling and skylights add beauty and light to this romantic and beautiful room.

The master bathroom features more of the exquisite tile work that makes Gull Rock House so special. The double sink is a practical and appreciated addition.

The second bedroom is beautifully modern and comfortable, and features a queen bed. Light streams from the window overlooking some of Gull Rock House's landscape plantings.

The second bathroom is two steps away from the second bedroom, just across the hall, for your comfort and convenience.

The third bedroom is located downstairs, and features a queen bed and view of the back yard and the ocean. It also contains a sofa sleeper for one, making the capacity of this room three persons.

The downstairs bathroom, just two or three steps from the third bedroom is a ¾ bath, with a toilet, sink and shower. It is in the same room with the laundry facilities, a washer and dryer.
The Deck and Back Yard
You'll probably find yourself spending much of your time on Gull Rock House's main deck. It's located just off the living room and it offers the best views of the grounds, the Marine Garden area, and, of course, the ocean and Gull Rock. For your enjoyment, the owners of Gull Rock House have provided a great barbeque grill. Isn't that what getaways are about? Imagine.grilling up burgers or steaks, or maybe even seafood, while you enjoy the ocean view. Oh, we forgot to mention, you also hear the ocean, what a sound. In fact, you may hear the sea lions barking as well as the bird calls that echo throughout the air around Gull Rock House. (By-the-way, they provide the grill-you provide your own propane.)

Gull Rock House also has a large back yard, perfect for games of croquet, volleyball, touch football, or.. Whatever your family or group's favorite games, they will be even better with the view and sound of the ocean to accompany them.

Whether you're playing games, sunbathing, enjoying mealtimes, engaging in long conversations about.well, anything, you will love the back yard and deck at Gull Rock House.

The Neighborhood
Gull Rock House is in a quiet residential neighborhood, but is also next door to what is called a Marine Garden. A paved path will take you to the beach, where you will have a stunning view of a part of a natural formation, carved by the ocean over centuries, called "The Devil's Punchbowl." You can also access the beach from there with even closer views of Gull Rock than you had from the house.

Just about a 3-block stroll away you'll find The Flying Dutchman Winery and Tasting Room. These very friendly people make some fantastic wine, including several award-winning Pinot Noirs. Don't miss the chance to stop in and taste. Their shop also contains other treasures you may want to take home with you.

Next door to The Flying Dutchman is Mo's West, a branch of the restaurant famous for it's clam chowder and other seafood.

Both The Flying Dutchman and Mo's West are at the end of a road that also contains the main overlook for The Devil's Punchbowl. Don't miss this amazing natural feature.

There is a picnic area here as well, and views of Beverly Beach and Molach Beach, where surfers can often be seen riding the waves. It is a fabulous, sweeping view of one of the coast's most beautiful beaches.
